11th Acarological Colloquium in Bolzano, Italy

(06-09.09.17)

Veronika Gergócs (as the only participant from a non-German speaking-country) took part in the traditional, German-speaking acarological conference in Naturmuseum Bolzano (11. Milbenkundliches Kolloquium). She gave a presentation titled:

Effects of black locust tree (Robinia pseudoacacia, L.) plantations on oribatid mite assemblages in Börzsöny mountain, Hungary

Most of the presentations were about oribatid mites. Colleagues presented a wide range of topics about “Hornmilben” such as feeding habits, morphological and chemical defense, dispersal ability, molecular diversity in the Caribbean seashore, and Tyrolean species diversity.
