The Pilis project is a cooperation from Pilis Parkerdő Zrt. (Pilis Park Forestry Company and the Centre for Ecological Research running from 2014. Goal of this initiative is to establish sustainable treatments in natural forests, which might compensate some effects of climate change.
In the frame of the experimemt four forest management treatment types are investigated on a field of 40 acres area (ask native). Our lab does research on the forest macrofauna, to draw conclusions about the treatments effecting the ecosystem of the investigated sites.
